Enforcement and debt recovery

Introduction

Turning judgments, awards, cheques and other enforceable instruments into payment, and recovering debts before they reach court.

A judgment is worth what can be collected. We act for creditors before the enforcement courts on judgments, arbitral awards, cheques, promissory notes and other enforceable instruments, using the tools the law gives, such as the disclosure, freezing and sale of the debtor's assets.

The new Enforcement Law, in force from 28 October 2026, changes the rules. Bills of exchange and promissory notes must be registered on the national electronic platforms to be enforced directly, an application is barred more than ten years after the instrument fell due, and creditors gain stronger asset tracing tools. We help clients review their instruments and settlements against the new law.

Before litigation, we pursue debts through demand letters, negotiated payment plans and security. We also enforce foreign judgments and arbitral awards in the Kingdom on the basis of reciprocity and international agreements.
