Registration, renewal and portfolio management
Introduction
Keeping an IP portfolio registered, renewed, correctly recorded and aligned with the markets where the business trades.
Registration is only the start. Trademarks must be renewed, patents need annual fees to stay in force, and changes of ownership, name or address must be recorded. A lapsed right, or one still held in the name of a founder or an old group company, can be lost or hard to enforce.
AZ&P protects and manages portfolios of more than 100 IP assets. We keep renewal calendars, watch the registers for conflicting filings, and record licences and assignments so the client's rights are effective against others.
We also audit portfolios against the business: which brands and products are actually used, which markets matter, and where protection is missing or no longer worth paying for.
