Sector regulators and licence conditions

Introduction

Working with the regulators of licensed sectors: meeting licence conditions, obtaining approvals and responding to inspections and penalties.

In regulated sectors the licence is the business. Banks and finance companies answer to the Saudi Central Bank, investment firms and listed companies to the Capital Market Authority, healthcare providers to the Ministry of Health and the Food and Drug Authority, and real estate businesses to the Real Estate General Authority, each with its own rules and expectations.

Licence conditions continue after the licence is granted: capital and staffing requirements, approvals for new products and changes of control, periodic reporting and notifications. We help companies keep track of these obligations and handle their correspondence with the regulator.

When a regulator inspects, investigates or imposes a penalty, we represent the company, prepare its response and pursue objections before the competent committees and courts.
