Labour disputes and the labour courts
Introduction
Representing employers in labour claims, from amicable settlement at the ministry to the labour courts and appeal.
Labour claims start with amicable settlement through the Ministry of Human Resources. If the parties do not settle within the set period, the claim moves to the labour courts, which hear disputes over contracts, wages, rights, work injuries and disciplinary decisions.
Time matters in both directions. Claims under the Labour Law generally cannot be heard more than twelve months after the employment ends, and employers who keep complete records, from contracts and payslips to attendance and disciplinary files, are far better placed to defend them.
We represent employers at the settlement stage, before the labour courts and on appeal, and we use each case to strengthen the contracts and policies that prevent the next one.
