Employment contracts and offer letters

Introduction

Offer letters and employment contracts that comply with the Labour Law, protect the employer and are clear to the employee.

Every employment relationship in the private sector is governed by the Labour Law, and many of its rules cannot be contracted out of. Contracts must be in writing and in Arabic, can be bilingual, and are documented electronically through the Qiwa platform, so the terms agreed must match what is registered.

The Labour Law amendments in force since February 2025 changed rules on probation, notice and leave, among others. Contracts drafted before then often need updating, both for new hires and for existing staff whose terms no longer match the law.

We draft offer letters and contracts for Saudi and expatriate staff, fixed term and indefinite, covering pay and benefits, working hours, probation, confidentiality and the ownership of work, and we align them with the company's internal work regulations.
