Estate inventory and valuation
Introduction
Establishing the heirs, and identifying, securing and valuing everything in the estate, so it can be settled correctly.
When an estate opens, the first steps are to establish the heirs through an inheritance deed and to identify everything the deceased owned and owed: real estate, company shares, bank accounts, investments, receivables and debts. Debts and valid bequests come first, and only then are the heirs' shares calculated.
Business estates need particular care. Company shares, family holdings and running businesses must be valued fairly, often by accredited valuers, and kept operating while the estate is settled, so their value is not lost in the meantime.
We act for heirs and executors, coordinate with banks, registries and companies to gather the information, and prepare an inventory every heir can rely on.
