Disputes between heirs and partners
Introduction
Resolving disputes over estates, valuations and control of family companies, between heirs and between heirs and surviving partners.
Estate disputes usually concern what belongs to the estate, what it is worth, who manages it in the meantime and how it should be divided. In family companies they extend to control: surviving partners and heirs may disagree on management, dividends or whether to sell.
Family relationships make early settlement worth trying. We use negotiation and mediation, including the conciliation services of the Ministry of Justice, to reach agreements the family can live with, documented so they can be enforced.
Where agreement fails, we represent heirs and partners before the personal status courts on estate questions, before the commercial courts on company disputes, and in proceedings before Infath.
