ESG and disclosure frameworks

Introduction

Building the policies, oversight and reporting that show investors, lenders and regulators how a company manages environmental, social and governance matters.

ESG has moved from a voluntary statement to a practical requirement. Investors, lenders and government counterparties increasingly ask for ESG information, the Saudi Exchange has issued ESG disclosure guidelines for listed companies, and Vision 2030 and the Saudi Green Initiative set national targets that companies are expected to support.

We help boards decide which ESG matters are material to their business, assign responsibility for them, and build them into the governance framework: board oversight, policies, data collection and internal controls over what is reported.

Disclosure carries legal risk as well as reputational value. We review sustainability reports and investor materials so that what the company says can be supported, and align them with the disclosure rules that apply to it.
